synopsis:
Where is Lilo? is a documentary road movie following the path of the German exile writer Lilo Linke. When her home country was about to fall under nazism in 1933, 27 year old Lilo left Germany to discover Europe's, Turkey's and South America's social realities and to seek for inner freedom. Lifelong fighting for social justice, Lilo Linke left a heritage of autobiographical novels, revealing an international inventory of the world throughout the 20th century, as well as clues to her adventurous and very unconventional private life.
